The Arizona Railway Museum is celebrating its 30 year history with Arizona Railway Day, a free public event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 1, 2014. Festivities will include tours of vintage railcars, displays of artifacts and memorabilia, and a special visit by the Amtrak Exhibit Train. The museum is located at 330 E. For Arizona Railway Day the museum’s standard entrance fee is waived; however, donations from the public and local businesses are greatly appreciated. Visitors should access the event on Ryan Road, from Arizona Avenue or McQueen Road. Parking is free. Food and beverages will also be available, with all proceeds benefitting the Arizona Railway Museum and Chandler Lions Club charities.
