We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pastor Victor Hardy, a leader, mentor, and pillar of our community. His impact reached far beyond words, touching the lives of so many in Chandler and beyond.
Victor played an important role in shaping our city's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Since the official creation of the Diversity Office in 2007, he dedicated himself to building bridges between communities and ensuring that everyone had a voice and a place. A proud veteran, he carried his spirit of service beyond the military and into the heart of our community. His contributions to For Our City since 2010 helped unite organizations and individuals in service to others. His annual Chandler Men of Action African American Banquet honored outstanding men in the City of Chandler for their leadership and contributions.
These are just some of the many ways he made a difference in our community. Although he received numerous awards for his work, he never sought praise. Everything he did was driven by his love for Chandler and his dedication to its people.
Beyond his leadership, Pastor Hardy was a man of many talents and a heart for service. He performed at our events, sharing his gifts to bring people together in celebration of diversity. His dedication to the community was evident in his countless hours of volunteering at events and programs that enriched the lives of so many.
