Remembering the Anniversary of 9/11
What: September 11th Healing Field® Memorial
The Exchange Club of Tempe presents the annual Healing Field® tribute that will be held at Tempe Beach Park from 9/10/26 to 9/13/26.
What: Healing Field® Memorial – This is the 25th Anniversary of the September 11th attack.
Where: Tempe Beach Park – September 10th – September 13th 2026.
Why: Honor those killed on September 11th, 2001
Event Times:
**Please note: Parking is available in Downtown Tempe. Use this website called Tempe Trip to see available parking spots. The Tempe Trip site has a TON of great information.
During most of our events, there will be no public parking in the Tempe Beach Park parking lot.** GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO PARK IF COMING FOR AN EVENT.
You may want to look at options for public transportation, as well.
Stand Up Flags – Healing Field® : Thursday, September 10th at 5:46AM. (we will begin to gather at 5:30am) Volunteers are welcome to participate!
Healing Field® Tribute: The 25th anniversary of September 11th will be Friday September 11th. The ceremony will begin at 5:46am which is the time that the first plane hit the first tower. We will read the names of the victims at the conclusion of this ceremony. The public is invited to join us in reading the names. More info will be available as we get closer to the event.
Candlelight Vigil: Friday, September 11th 7:00PM. Ceremony, speakers, candlelight vigil – candles will be placed at the base of the flags. More info will be available as we get closer to the event.
Freedom Concert: Saturday, September 12th from 6:30-8:30PM – Patriotic songs in the Park.
Tunnel to Towers 5k Run/Walk: – Sunday, September 13th at 7:30AM. 5k run at the Tempe Beach Park. Click here for registration info.
Stand Down The Field – Monday, September 14th at 6:00AM. Volunteers welcome and encouraged to help!

Healing Field schedule of events:
Thursday, Sept. 10, 5:46 a.m. – Volunteers gather to stand up the flags. All are welcome.
Friday, Sept. 11, 5:46 a.m. – Healing Field Tribute featuring a ceremony and reading of victim names.
Friday, Sept. 11, 7 p.m. – Candlelight vigil, ceremony and speakers. Candles will be placed at the base of the flags.
Saturday, Sept. 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Freedom Concert featuring patriotic songs in the park.
Sunday, Sept. 13, 7:30 a.m. – Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5K run/walk at Tempe Beach Park (registration required).
Monday, Sept. 14, 6 a.m. – Volunteers gather to take down the flags. All are welcome.
